The Labricks: An Introduction

Simultaneously rustic and "new wave," the Labricks (pronounced LAY-bricks) are the live cover band equivalent of an indie college radio station spinning David Bowie, Devo, New Order, and the Pixies alongside old 45s by garage bands like Sir Douglas Quintet or ? and the Mysterians.

The Labricks formed in Woodland, California in 2021. They are:

  • Tom Cardenas on drums

  • Miles Miniaci on keyboards/vocals

  • Ryan Anderson on bass

  • Nathaniel Williams on vocals/acoustic guitar

“Labrick” is 19th-century Missouri slang for a no-good, n’er-do-well. Mark Twain said the word “occupied in the matter of strength the middle ground between scoundrel & son of a bitch...."
